Life is beautiful was an inspiring film for me at the tender age of 17. I watched that film over 20 years ago and decided to become a photographer. I wanted to capture the emotions people felt at pivotal moments in their lives and save it for them to 'feel' again later.
noun a sentimental longing or wistful affection for a period in the past.
A wistful affection...Memories otherwise forgotten. This is why I specialize in family photography. Families enjoying an hour or so together in a beautiful setting, brought together to just have fun with each other :-)
My sessions are
a bit of candid and a bit of direction. I aim to capture true connections and affection. The gentle look a mother gives her newborn baby, the protective embrace of a new father. I capture children being children, running wild or being curious, enjoying the wonder of nature and looking with admiration to their parents.
As a mother of four young daughters I have a passion for babies and kids. I love telling stories and as such love being able to capture a couples journey in life and do yearly family portrait sessions after maternity and newborn sessions have been done.
I understand that each person, each couple and each family are unique and as such treat each session as different as the people I am photographing, but my main aim during our session would be for you to be comfortable and having fun....as those happy moments are truly what makes life beautiful.
To me taking photographs are like capturing memories and putting them up for display to remind myself of a life well lived, to relish in those happy memories of days past and inspire me to live life to it's fullest, surrounded by people that I am happy to be with - my family. There's nothing more precious than moments spent with those you love. Those moments should be captured, and treasured forever.

picture. The photographer and the viewer." - Ansel Adams
